Matlagning är något som för mig är något man gör för att kunna få i sig näring, men något som tar alldeles för lång tid. Jag är därför inte känd för att vara en gourmetkock som spenderar timmar i köket. Ni kan därför tänka er att jag blev förvånad när en lärare på skolan bad om att få receptet på den thaigryta jag satt och åt på.
Matlagning är inte min grej
Som jag nämnde innan är matlagning inte min främsta kompetens. Jag är känd för att vara han som alltid kokar över risvattnet, bränner choklad i mikrovågsugnen och lyckas bränna korvar på båda sidorna när han grillar. Jag har aldrig riktigt haft något intresse för matlagning eller mat i stort. Jag tillhör den skara som mer eller mindre äter för att få i sig näring, men inte mycket mer än så. Min pojkvän däremot är en riktig matälskare med passion för matlagning. Om han inte skulle ha varit läkare skulle han definitivt ha varit gourmetkock. Han är otroligt bra på matlagning och har färdigheter inom sådana där nymodigheter som att kunna krydda mat. Något jag helt saknar.
Matlagningsinspiratör för lärare
Den enda maträtten (alltså en av de tre maträtter jag lagar konstant) jag kan göra riktigt god är min thaigryta, och den hade jag med mig till skolan igår. Eftersom jag skriver mitt examensarbete nu sitter jag och äter lunch i personalrummet på skolan. Det är därför inte ovanligt att lärare sätter sig och äter lunch med oss examensarbetare, och igår var ett sådant tillfälle.
Det första läraren gjorde när han satte sig bredvid oss var att visa ett minst sagt stort intresse för min thaigryta. Han tyckte den såg god ut och frågade vad jag hade i den. Mitt i samtalet gick han dock in i köket, hämtade en sked och smakade på min gryta. Något jag inte alls var beredd på. Efter att han hade smakat på grytan ville han definitivt ha receptet på den, så jag fick berätta vad jag hade i och hur jag hade lagat den.
Det är alltså jag, Dennis Widmark aka Korvbrännaren, som fick agera matlagningsinspiratör. Det var något jag inte alls var beredd på att få göra när jag kom till skolan om man säger så.
